Nope, it's not which challenging runs you're going to try or which celebrities you're hoping to spot on its famous slopes. It's which hotspots you should choose for après-ski, of course! As we've been running TSW here since 2015, we're definitely in-the-know when it comes to Aspen après-ski spots - so take a look at this list of our faves. Lynn Britt Cabin
Fancy après with a view? You'll discover this elegant log cabin that's popular with The Ski Weekers on the slopes of Snowmass. Their outdoor lounge and fire pit offer some jaw-dropping panoramic views of Snowmass Valley and the high peaks that lay beyond it. Their selection of bubbles and cocktails are perfect for your après session - they even throw their own après-ski parties every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 2pm. Cloud Nine
According to Vogue, this is where "the world’s wildest ski party happens twice a day, every day" - and we can only concur. The chic bistro has a European-style après-ski vibe and racy reputation that makes it popular among the well-heeled and the well-known (which means pre-booking for one of their seatings at noon or 2pm essential). Expect anything to happen. You could come away doused to $100 champagne or just having witnessed fellow skier Seal serenade the party Kiss From A Rose. Drinking Veuve Clicquot champagne is pretty much mandatory when you're here and much of it ends up sprayed onto the roof as 90s party hits pump from the sound system. New Belgium Ranger Station
This cosy slope-side bar in Snowmass Village is perfect for lovers of craft beer. They always have a range of brews on tap from the Colorado craft pioneers, New Belgium Brewery, so this is an excellent opportunity to get a taste for the local beer scene. They even offer up a 'Manmosa', which mixes NBB's Fat Tire Belgian white ale with grapefruit or orange juice, for those who want a spin on popular champagne concoction. If you need warming up after your day on the slopes, try one of their heated cocktails, such as the Tea Toddy with Bulleit bourbon, chamomile tea, honey and lemon - perfect for anyone with the snow sniffles. Venga Venga
Tequila aficionados listen up: this cantina-style bar, situated just off the slopes at Fanny Hill, has a whopping 75 different agave-infused spirits to choose from. Offering up a range of tasting options, their menu is curated by the different ageing techniques, so asking for a tequila shot at this bar isn't just a simple request. But don't worry - the staff are here to guide you through your après options.
